We are experiencing some problems with our telephones on a Monday morning between 8am - 10am. Our provider is aware of this and is working to resolve as soon as possible. This is a technical problem and is also affecting other services across St Helens. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Central Surgery would like to welcome Dr Adele Tinsley to the team.

Dr Tinsley  joined us in February 2018 and will be working on a Monday and Wednesday.

 


 

The NHS Summary Care Record

Every household in England is receiving the leaflet "Better Information means better care" leaflet during January 2017.  The leaflet helps to support us in raising awareness amongst patients about how their information is used for purposes beyond their direct care, including the care.data programme.  We thought you might find it helpful if we provided an update on progress and reminded you about a number of resources that are available to support GP practices and their patients. CLICK HERE

A new service - Minds Matter 

Service Information

People ask "where can I find support for stress, anxiety, low mood and sleep difficulties?"

A new service called Minds Matter can help people suffering with these common difficulties.  They offer psychological interventions such as self-help materials, groups, workshops and 1:1 therapy to people age 16 and above with a registered GP.

Having chance to talk through or find new solutions to our difficulties can make all the difference.

How do I refer myself to the Mindsmatter Service?

  • Go to www.lancashirecare.nhs.uk/Mindsmatter for our online referral form
  • Telephone the St Helens Team on 01744 647100 (Mon-Fri 8am to 8pm; Sat 8am-12pm)
  • Fill in a self-referral form and post to us at the address on the back of the leaflet.  Self-referral forms can be obtained at your GP Surgery.

What will happen once I have referred myself?

You will be offered an initial welcome call appointment.  At the end of this telephone welcome call you and the Mindsmatter Practitioner can agree the next step together.

Depending on your individual needs we will make sure you receive the most appropriate, suitable, timely and accessible intervention to help you.

We will keep your GP informed with your progress unless you explicitly request us not to.
